Home Instead Senior Care Teams Up With Author, Marcia Rosen to Launch the “Thanks for the Memories” Contest

Provide generations to come a history of what you contributed to your family and your community. Tell them how you lived your life and the truths that led to your choices and experiences. Show them how you faced life’s joys and challenges. Share how you loved, cried, struggled and survived it all! To promote just how important sharing your life experience is, Home Instead Senior Care has launched the “Thanks for the Memories” Contest that will give 4 lucky people the chance to receive a copy of “My Memoir Workbook” written by Marcia Rosen that will provide winners with a step by step guide to writing their life story.  The entry with the most votes will also receive a 30-minute “Life Writing” phone session with the author herself.

Marcia Rosen is a literary agent for self-published authors and has been an advisor and consultant to writers of memoirs, fiction and non-fiction books for past fifteen years. She often works with authors on concept development, structure and editing.   “My Memoir Workbook” demonstrates the importance of writing your story; it also gives you the tools and guidance you need to do it. Work at your own pace and say what you want to say in your own words.   This is your book, designed to tell about your life in your own voice.

The Home Instead Senior Care “Thanks for the Memories” Contest is open to all residents over the age of 18 in the Greater Albuquerque Region.  Those interested in submitting their memory for consideration are being asked to submit a picture and thoughtful caption describing the story behind the photo of their most cherished memory through Home Instead Senior Care’s Facebook Fan page.  Further information is available online at www.homeinstead.com/144 or https://www.facebook.com/HomeInsteadNewMexico.

The contest officially begins on September 5^th 2012, with entries being accepted until December 15.  Voting is open until January 5^th 2013.  The winning memories will be determined by the photos that receive the most votes and will be selected by January 15^th 2013.
